I wanted to expand upon my previous model of one corner of the house by situating it on the hill of the site and adding the staircase entrance to the house
The primary focus of this second iteration/addition is the staircase entrance from underneath and expressing how that unconventional and understated way of entering feels in the space.
Figuring out how the topography will translate to the existing model.
Initial Sketches
I used online plans and elevations to measure out all the lengths and angles I would need to start building. I then translated these measurements into a 1m = 2cm scale.
These sorts of drawing function for me as roadmaps for construction, rather than presentational drawings.
